What Cat the Arbiter is
Cat the Arbiter is an AI-powered startup validation tool. It analyzes your business ideas and provides feedback including verdicts, risk assessments, and action plans.
Not professional advice
Cat's analysis is generated by AI and is not professional business, legal, or financial advice. It is a tool to help you think more critically about your ideas. Decisions about your business are yours alone.
Your content
You retain ownership of the ideas, descriptions, and answers you submit. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content through our AI analysis pipeline and store it for your future access.
We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models. Your submissions are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis under their commercial API terms, which do not permit training on your data.
Free and paid tiers
- Free tier — limited validations per month. May be changed or discontinued.
- Paid tiers — recurring subscriptions via Stripe. Refund requests handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. Cancel anytime from your dashboard.
Fair use
Don't abuse Cat. This means:
- No automated or bulk submissions.
- No using the service to generate spam or misleading content.
- No attempting to reverse-engineer the AI prompts or analysis pipeline.
- No sharing accounts or reselling results.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI analysis depends on third-party APIs (Anthropic) and may occasionally be slow or unavailable.
Limitation of liability
Cat the Arbiter is provided “as is.” We are not liable for business decisions made based on Cat's analysis, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
